Meet Our Founder - Mitch Watson
Hi, I'm Mitch Watson. I started out in physical therapy as a P. T. aide in an Amarillo outpatient physical therapy clinic in 1990 and I have worked in the physical therapy health industry ever since. Exercise, fitness and strength training along with the study of the musculoskeletal system were what I loved from the beginning of my search to find a career.
I graduated Physical Therapy Assistant School from Amarillo College in 1993 followed by working in Sports Medicine, Geriatric Rehab and Home Health through 1997. I started my graduate program work in 1996 completing my Master of Physical Therapy Degree in 1999. After a short decline in the demand for physical therapists and National Healthcare legislative changes, I began work as an MPT again in the field of Home Health Physical Therapy and Geriatric Rehab.
Later acquiring an avenue to assume my own outpatient P. T. Clinic beginning in 2003. This clinic later became In Motion Physical Therapy on April 15, 2005. Since this time In Motion has stayed the course in my commitment to offer a "NON-CORPORATE" approach to physical therapy… a clinic where patients do not fall into the "Cookie Cutter" approach.
Amarillo is my town and my people... when a patient walks through my door, they instantly become my mission! The outcome of our time together is of utmost concern! I dump all of my training experience and knowledge into figuring out what my patient specifically needs out of my capacity to deliver physical therapy. I do it with a passion and commitment to see that person move to a state of improved function with a stronger body and better knowledge of physical rehabilitation and future prevention. I don't want anyone to leave my clinic feeling as if their outcome does not matter... It does!
